10 days later

my hair is no longer 'junkie-from-amsterdam red'. now, it's a 'bombay-urchin's-sun-bleached orange'.

the hublet can't believe anyone in their right minds would do this to themselves. he looks at me quizzically, every now and then, probably thinking, "if you hate yourself, there are other ways of showing it."

i will survive. my self esteem may not, but never mind that!

I'm not laughing...I promise :-)

But, if you need something to laugh at...I haven't had my hair cut for almost six months now and I too get my share of funny looks :-) And, I'm not getting it cut for aother month, at least. So, don't worry about what the hublet thinks...in fact, maybe it's time to get back at him :-)

"bombay urchin sun bleached orange" takes me back some 8-9 years ago when k and i were still dating. i had highlighted my hair *mildly* to a nice auburn. to be honest, i never really liked it on myself, but k just *hated* it. he told me i looked like a malnourished street kid with discoloured hair!! it was about the most daring thing i'd ever done to my hair, and about the strongest objection he'd ever raised, so that marked the end of that!!

gift, gotj, kundalini :) apne paaon par kulhaadi...

gotj, maybe long hair suits you?it's more like my hubby is getting back at me. he's refusing to have his hair cut till my hair magically turns black again, and he looks terrible with long hair. so now we're the Terrible Looking Couple.we deserve each other :)

g, i SO look like what k described. this too shall pass :)u know, we're the type who should NOT do this nonsense. at least you learned it back then!
